"I have stayed focused and disciplined in my approach to life," said Sam Bradford, 2008's Heisman Trophy winner as the best player in college football. "The minute I start to think that I am first and God is second, that's the minute my life starts to go the wrong way."
Colt McCoy, one of the favorites for the 2009 Heisman, said he doesn't believe God necessarily cares about wins and losses or worldly standards of success. "For me, I'm successful in life because I have Jesus Christ living inside of me," McCoy said, adding that God cares about "my faith and what I'm doing to make sure I come to live in heaven with Him someday and who I am bringing with me."
This is a side of Colt and Sam most people don't get to see. Their stories reinforce the fact that we all face challenges in life and that Christ is the source of strength in the game of life.
