The Virginia High Bearcats visited the Lee High Generals on November 6, 2009. Lee High School is one of two high school located in Lee County, Virginia. Lee High School is located in Ben Hur (between Pennington Gap and Jonesville. The Bearcats came into the game with a 5-4 record while the General's record was 1-7. The Bearcats were coming off of a bye week, whereas the General were coming off of a 49-0 loss to Gate City. Virginia had to win this game and have two of the following three team lose: Honaker, JJ Kelly, and Powell Valley and in order to have a change at a Region D Division 2 Playoff Berth. The Bearcats beat the Generals 42-0. However, JJ Kelly and Powell Valley both won their regular season finales, thus eliminating the Bearcats from playoff contention.
