Chüefladefäscht - Cow Pat Festival - Kuhfladenfest
Impressions from the 4th Chüefladefäscht, the annual cow pat festival organized above Riederalp in the Canton of Valais, Switzerland. The aim of the festival is to destroy as many cow pats as possible. Niko and Mischa Lüfkens demonstrate the three techniques of smashing cow pats: golf, pitchfork and football kicking. This wacky alpine event is organized to spread the cow manure evenly accross the alping pasture. In 2009 14 teams destroyed a bit over 3000 cow pats.
