(12-12-2009) Matt Flutur of Grand Valley State gets blindsided by Trent Covington of NW Missouri State on a punt return in the division II national championship game.
Most everyone that's ever played football for any length of time has been the victim of a blindside hit ... it's part of the game. If you haven't had a helmet stuck in your earhole, you haven't played long enough.
That being said, this is one of the hardest blindside hits I've ever seen.
The celebration that ensued as the Grand Valley State University Lakers guaranteed themselves a position in the December 12th Division 2 National Championship game in Florence Alabama by dominating over Carson-Newman.
Muskegon, the No. 2 team in Division 2, routed top-ranked Lowell, 49-14, in the regional finals.
